Pam Livolsi – Founder and Chief Strategist

Pam founded Media Intelligence, now known as Livolsi Media, in 1999 with the mission to help clients navigate the complexities of media and use it as a powerful driver of businessgrowth. She recognized that media was a key factor in business success and wanted to provide clients with the insights and strategies to activate its full potential in their growth.

With 37 years of experience, Pam spent 12 years at two of Pittsburgh’s largest agencies, MARC Advertising and Ketchum Advertising. Here, she specialized in account management, media planning, and media buying, eventually becoming VP, Group Media Director. Pam led teams in developing strategic plans, local and national market strategies, launching new products, and acquiring new business. Her strategic abilities also played a pivotal role in winning Media Week’s Media Plan of the Year. Pam brings deep expertise in media research, understanding audiences, and leveraging emerging media technologies across various industries.

Today she has taken those insights, gained through evidence-based research, experience and years of data analysis, and developed a comprehensive approach with tools and services that help clients solve for business growth through media reach.

Pam holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from West Virginia University (1988).

Daneen Leya – Media Advisor

Daneen currently manages all aspects of broadcast buying for the agency and is responsible for maintaining client work, while having her hands in the buying to stay in tune with the evolving media climate. “Jill” of all trades describes Daneen well. She brings over 33 years of broad and deep media experience including trade and consumer work on a national, regional, and local level. hrough the years, she has brought dramatic cost efficiencies to agency rates for clients, which has literally allowed the agency to “pay for itself”. Her prowess for garnering stand-out, reach based, added value has also been invaluable to client ad programs over the years. Daneen is the face of the agency to our reps and the media community. Her reputation for fair reasonable negotiations spans decades and clients value her leadership.

Daneen’s agency experience prior to joining Livolsi Media includes Ketchum Advertising, Omnicom, EPB Group and Brunner during which time she evolved from a Media Buyer to an Associate Media Director. She has been a member of the Media Association of Pittsburgh and was a board of director for the organization. She has also been a volunteer for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Family House, American Diabetes Association, and North Allegheny School District. aneen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992.

Debbie Starr – Media Advisor

Debbie has developed B2B plans on dozens of accounts over the years. She masters the resources necessary for comprehensive planning and execution. With 37 years of experience in media planning and buying she has particular expertise in the print and B2B arenas. She has extensive experience in developing nontraditional B2B programs that go beyond the typical trades, leveraging the use of digital B2B channels as well as local market nontraditional business-to-business media like NPR, airport advertising, the arts programs, and regional editions of publications like the Wall Street Journal. She also has extensive experience in developing highly targeted added value programs among trade publications and publishing groups.

Debbie has managed volume print programs for the agency, and she also handles detailed client/media financials for our payments processing system.

In addition to her extensive experience also managing B2B media programs at Alcoa, she worked in media at Della Femina and Ketchum Advertising prior to Livolsi Media. Debbie graduated from Penn State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising.

Mary Ellen Roach – Media Advisor

Mary Ellen’s advertising experience began on the print side but quickly blossomed to include broadcast and various other media. Her true forte is her special attention to detail that has made her an invaluable “right hand” to all on the staff. Give her data and she will make a story out of it providing insights all along the way. Along with her data analysis work, Mary Ellen also maintains strong relationships with her local market reps in planning and buying, using our Reach Value approach. Her simple down-to-earth style in her relationships fits well with her small markets reps and these relationships have been invaluable in gaining insights and support from them. This cooperation and mutual respect in the buyer/seller relationship is a hallmark of our agency ethos.

Mary Ellen has been in the advertising field for 27 years. She started her career as an assistant media planner and quickly moved up the ranks at Bozell, Ketchum and Brunner before joining Media Intelligence in 2009. Along with that, Mary Ellen is invaluable in her ability to create order out of chaos. Mary Ellen graduated from Robert Morris University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a major in marketing.
